Of course this is a “proof of concept” page and the effect will only be visible during the starting phase (a couple of seconds depending on ambiant temperature). I just tried on my wife’s Macbook pro (both in safari and firefox), everything works as intended ;)

In Theories of Mind, thanks for making images that can take anchors.

As for this, great concept. Could see this useful on a Steampunk-style page. One suggestion: Instead of the divs simply flashing, perhaps make it like a real fluorescent light and get gradually brighter (very quickly gradually) and then a blink or two. It does take a little long for all of the divs to appear.

    Otherwise, very creative. Nice job.

    Very nice.
    I made some changes:

I added sound (which won’t load quick enough because it’s a free server)
and now it flickers every once in a while (though only two bars right now as I haven’t finished yet)

Vraiment impressionnant, comme toutes tes autres expérimentations! Malheureusement, j’ai lu et relu ton javascript pendant des heures et je n’y comprend toujours rien, j’espère qu’à force de travail j’arriverais un jour à comprendre ton code…
    Encore bravo!
