Sorry for the slow pace of posts, everyone! I’ve been more than busy with my day job, to say the least… and it’s not going to get better soon…

Some words. This script showcases a very simple and minimalist 3D engine over a HTML 5 CANVAS element :

    - 3D rotations, zoom, perspective projection
    - faces z-sorting (painter’s algorithm)
    - back faces culling (won’t paint non-visible faces)
    - Lambert shading
    - “is point inside triangle” algorithm (mouseover emulation)

So you’ve got an iPad? Try the script on it. Most of my HTML5 demos at this point do not have mobile oriented interaction and often render too slow. My goal here was to perform well on mobile :

    - unified touch/mouse events handler
    - 50 FPS starting with one cube, 30 FPS after 20 cubes (on iPad 2)…
    - the demo will also work on Android mobile devices

    Well… it’s not so bad for something 100% hand-coded in Notepad ;-)

    have fun
    Gerard
